Your Trauma and Hypervigilance

Hypervigilance is an enhanced state of sensory sensitivity and brings out increased anxiety which can cause exhaustion. Ultimately, your nervous system is always on overdrive searching to create safety, and peace. Many HSP, Empaths and inutivies experience this on the daily. Anxiety goes hand-in-hand with hypervigilance. You think you need to have “it” together, to be in charge, and to make sure you take care of others so NOTHING goes wrong. Yet, underneath all that urgency is a deep-seated fear based out of some sort of trauma. Trauma does not need to be some HUGE catastrophic event, trauma is not measured. Trauma happens to you when your body experiences a distressing event. 100% of us have experienced trauma, especially in childhood when our senses are naturally highly attune and empathic. If you notice that you have a tendency to want to take care of everything, to control situations or to make sure all the “I’s” are dotted and the “t’s” are crossed, you may be experiencing hypervigilance. I’ve been there. I still have to watch myself to not go there again. And you want to know why? BURN OUT. It is EXHAUSTING always having to be “on.” Burn out is incredibly sneaky too…you don’t realize how you’ve been functioning on low battery for weeks, months or even years until you get hit with a brick wall of fatigue, some sort of physical pain or a diagnosis of illness. You shouldn’t need to get sick in order to get a day off, or to get peace. That is why I am passionate about helping you take care of your anxiety. You deserve CALM and PEACE within your WHOLE SELF. Message me and we can explore how you can step into your peaceful life today.
