Coaches selling vibes is not the problem.
Coaches with great marketing and magnetism is not the problem.
Coaches creating popular girl boss cults is not the problem.
All of this keeps us in a loop of disempowerment and blame.
The real issue is a lack of discernment.
Women have been deeply conditioned to ignore their bodies, their intuition and their truth to “fit it” and this runs deep.
I’ve seen DARVO-level abuse and manipulation happen in coaching/healing spaces.
I’ve also seen promises never fulfilled.
I’ve seen a lack of self-responsibility in so-called leaders.
But you know what?
NONE of these business owners were hiding it.
As a woman who was cheated on by her ex-husband, I can honestly say that I GET the betrayal and I GET the shame spiral it can put you into to admit you were duped.
And I’m also here to remind you: if you are not one to manipulate, coerce or purposely cause harm, and you naturally build others up, see the best in people and want to offer understanding- no shit you wouldn’t see it happening!
It’s not familiar to you because you wouldn’t do it.
And that’s a good thing.
But guess what? Not only have I been duped by a narsacistic ex, I’ve also had best friends, colleagues and clients try to do the same.
I say TRY because I see the gameplay now. And I FEEL it happening. I learned after my divorce I would never ignore my body and intuition again.
It’s why discernment is something that I teach all of my clients, because like you, I haven’t let betrayal harden my heart.
But I do believe we need grace AND a backbone.
And that part of true leadership is taking self-responsibility.
If you paid thousands for a program, EVEN after knowing they didn’t fulfill on their other promises time and time again, I’m sorry girl, but thats on YOU.
When someone goes back to an ex, often there is unfinished business. And I don’t know the exact statistics but it is RARE I’ve see it work out.
So why keep buying from the same coach or same type of coach if you want a different result?
I believe that if you’re like me, a leader with compassion, understanding, patience and a strong sense of responsibility, that working alongside people who love bomb and overpromise but then cause harm or project and blame WILL ONLY CAUSE YOU HARM.
If you’re like me, on a soul-mission to change the world, to help others be leaders in their own way and to truly make a difference in peoples lives you cannot work alongside the coach who is all about money, business or vibes.
They will never understand your heart.
I recently understood this when a coach I thought could challenge me ended up bullying me instead.
I thought I needed the “tough love” coach so I tired her low cost program. Turned out she didn’t GET ME one bit. In fact, she decided to ridicule me and rip me down in her hot seat without even knowing anything about me.
I didn’t show up for the rest of the program not because I can’t handle my triggers but because I do not tolerate that type of “coaching.” There is no need to tear someone down and then try to sell them the very thing they created to “lift you back up.”
That was my final turning point.
If you have to be someone you’re not to run your business based on how the leader is telling you to be- that leader isn’t training you to be your best you, they want you to FOLLOW them.
If someone repeatedly doesn’t follow through, purposely triggers you in the name of “what you need to hear” and then shames you for you calling them out, they want you groom you.
Discernment doesn’t mean doubt, everyone.
It means trust yourself when someone is out of alignment. It means, change your mind when the energy the energy is off. It means honour your internal discomfort without assuming the worst but holding true to your physical cues.
Discernment takes confidence and courage.
